Borders of Power:American Ideals Under Threat

The current administration’s immigration policies have weaponised enforcement not only to control migration but to suppress political dissent and criminalise activism. By targeting individuals based on their political beliefs, these policies undermine fundamental democratic principles, including freedom of speech and the right to protest. This policy outlook argues that the militarisation of immigration enforcement and erosion of institutional trust pose significant constitutional violations, reshaping political opposition and threatening the core of American democratic norms and legal foundations.
