Turkey’s entertainment sector, particularly its soap operas, have been gaining popularity worldwide in the last two decades. The phenomenon has potentially enabled Turkey to leverage its significant cultural and historical heritage to its benefit in terms of public diplomacy efforts. This study attempts to establish a relationship between Turkish soap operas that have proven to be very popular internationally and foreign audiences’ intent to support or align with Turkey.
