This info pack aims to explain Artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the use of AI in the healthcare system and the role of AI in the fight against Covid-19. One of the most important issues expressed during the pandemic has been the occupancy rate of hospitals and social distancing rules. AI technology is providing many solutions for these problems. AI has been used to reduce the burden upon hospitals and to provide more predictable planning to fight the disease. AI technology has provided significant support for social control and the process of vaccine development and treatment.

Edebali Murat Akca is a Researcher at TRT World Research Centre. Before joining TRT World, he worked on Turkish foreign policy in think tanks. He worked with several NGOs on the university sector and international relations monitoring. Edebali holds a BA and MA in International Relations from Istanbul Ticaret University.
