The purpose of this info pack is to compile existing research on official Russian statements and aggregate relevant data on the proposed constitutional amendment. This info-pack explores: (i) the shifts in the distribution of power between the presidential and legislative branches of government, (ii) securing the prevalence of the Russian Constitution over international treaties and decisions of international bodies and (ii), introducing Russian traditional/religious values into the constitution. All data and analysis of the amendments are preliminary, as we continue to learn more about the changes from Russian officials.
