This discussion paper intends to analyse the relationship between Turkey and Pakistan from a communications perspective.
Turkey and Pakistan continue to present a united front on multiple international platforms. This paper intends to analyse the relationship from a communications perspective. Specifically, it aims to examine congruence between the two countries’ political communication at the highest levels. Applying the co-orientation model of communication to state communications when it comes to foreign policy can help us understand how the state identifies itself vis-à-vis others. By comparing how a country identifies itself through its foreign policy and state communications with how another country identifies itself through the same can serve as a tool to evaluate incidences of co-orientation between them.
